The Market Report, Post Week 7:

This is a weekly feature from the Professor.  Every week during the regular season, he will give you his assessment of Sell, Hold, or Buy on fantasy players whose “perceived value” may be deceiving you.

SELL HIGH: DeMarco Murray. Regular readers know you deal a guy after his best fantasy game.  Will Murray ever have a day like this again? No. Can you package Murray and a middling receiver to get back a stud RB? Yes.

SELL SELL SELL: If you can get a buyer willing to offer you anything, get out of the Raiders passing game. 6 INTs on the week is about as bad as it gets. Getting clowned by the former doormat Chiefs is also not great. And an injured McFadden just hurts a little bit more, as defenses can play the pass.

SELL HIGH: Darren McFadden. The Professor would never suggest that you deal a guy who has an injury. But according to the player, it is a minor injury. D-Mac is a top 10 RB with a decimated passing game and a lingering injury. Of course you want to move him.

SELL HIGH: Plaxico Burress. The lack of love continues. Burress was a human highlight reel, coming up with 3 TDs, but it was on just 25 yards receiving, and up against very short CBs. Teams who aren’t coached by the Norv will be a little more savvy in defending Plax, so his value will regress to the mean.

HOLD: Arian Foster. Normally the Professor’s rule is “trade a guy after he has one of the best fantasy days of his life.” But you probably aren’t going to get back top 5 RB value for Foster, so don’t deal him.

BUY LOW: Matt Schaub. The Texans passing game is overshadowed by Arian Foster, and the loss of Andre Johnson, but Schaub keeps producing, You are in this for another 9 weeks if you go to your Super Bowl, and Schaub is a good QB who will definitely be playing for something late in the season. Try and get him now.

BUY LOW: Sam Bradford. Not quite a jump into fantasy starter territory, but he is getting healthy, Steven Jackson is healthy, and he will have Clayton and Lloyd, which is a vast improvement over Alexander and Amendola. He could be a viable starter late in the season, and if you have an injury prone #1, like say Tony Romo or Matthew Stafford, Bradford could give you that boost.
